Piano Concerto / Piano Duo Auditions

Location: Louisiana State University School of Music
Guidelines for Participation
Piano Concerto:
- No photocopies allowed.
- All entrants will audition with an accompanist provided by the Concerto Committee.
- One rehearsal session with the accompanist will be available to each entrant.
- Winners may not enter the competition the following year.
- Winners will perform with the Louisiana Youth Orchestra.
Piano Duo, Duets, and Quartet:
- No photocopies allowed.
- Both entrants can be from one studio or mixed within different studios.
- Winners will perform at the January BRMTA meeting.
- Winners may enter the competition the following year.
How to Enter
Entry fee: $20.00 per student (includes rehearsal).
Email student(s) names, grade, division, piece, composer (preferably with a spreadsheet) to ltlien2@gmail.com. (If not registered by email, mail the same information to the address below.) Send in one check payable to BRMTA to:

Orchestra Division Repertoire:
* Junior Concerto - Students in grades 7-9 Piano Concerto in D major - Haydn, first movement only
* Senior Concerto - Students in grades 10-12 Piano Concerto No. 20 - Mozart, third Movement only
Piano Duo Division Repertoire (Two Pianos, Four Hands):
* Level I: Students in grades 6-8
Spanish Rhapsody - Goldston
* Level II: Students in grades 9-12
Blues Concerto - Eugénie R. Rocherolle
Piano Quartet (Two Pianos, Eight Hands):
* Level I: Students in grades 6-9
Allegro Deciso (from the Water Music) - Handel
Piano Duet Division Repertoire (One Piano, Four Hands):
