LMTA Baton Rouge District Rally

Forms: Fillable forms are available for download at www.lmta.org. Handwritten forms will not be accepted.

Fee: $20 per student. Please send one check payable to: LMTA Rally - Baton Rouge.

Teachers List Form

One form as follows:

List students in class order, alphabetically within class, LAST NAMES FIRST.
Indicate the events each student is entering by placing a check mark in the appropriate columns.
Mark Non-Competitive students with a checkmark in the "Non-Comp" column.
If the student DID NOT PLAY IN 2011, Mark "NEW" to the left of the name.
Note siblings playing on the same day.

Adjudication Blanks

Fill out one form for every event each student enters with all information requested. You must include length of each piece on Form #1. On performance blank list complete name of composition, name of movement and composer. Repertoire listed on Form #1 may not be changed after entry date. Please be absolutely sure student's repertoire is from three different periods for Levels IÑIV. Repertoire for Prep A and B should be three different composers/styles.

There is no form for the written test.

Paperclip all forms for one student together in the following order:

FORM #2 - Sight-Reading
FORM #3 - Keyboard Musicianship

Note: Teachers entering students in the Baton Rouge District Rally are required to work one FULL DAY* of the two Rally days. Teachers entering 10 or more students should plan to work BOTH days.

*Teachers who do not work must pay a $75 PER DAY substitute fee as required by the State Rally Board. Approximately 8 hours.

TORGRIMSON/SWANZY

Competitive students in Prep B-Level IV scoring at least a 98 in performance and at least 94 in the other three parts are eligible to enter the Torgrimson/Swanzy Competition. Eligible students will receive further instructions along with their rating sheets. Teachers MUST GO to www.lmta.org to locate the fillable PDF form to enter students. Deadlines will be strictly enforced.

Awards

Trophies will be given to Winners and Outstanding Achievement recipients at the Winners Recital. Medals, ribbons, and certificates will be available at the end of the year luncheon and the Winners Recital. ALL TROPHIES, MEDALS, RIBBONS, AND CERTIFICATES MUST BE PICKED UP BY THIS TIME.
