BRMTA Tournament
Date: March 17, 2012

Location: LSU School of Music, Dalrymple Drive
Entry Fee: $15 (Students may compete in both divisions for an entry fee of $30.)
Repertoire
Piano Repertoire: Any composition from the Romantic or Contemporary periods.
Strings Repertoire: Any composition from the Classical or Romantic periods.
Rules
No photocopies.
Students will be assigned to groups based on the level of difficulty of the composition. Each student will play for a judge only (Other students, parents and teachers will not be allowed in the room while the student is performing.)
Students will receive comments and a rating. There is no minimum or maximum number of superiors a judge may give within a group. However, the judge may select up to 25% of the students within each group to receive the rating of "superior trophy."
Procedure
Forms will be available by e-mail and at BRMTA meetings. Forms may be submitted via e-mail (preferred) or mailed to the chairman.
*Registration fees must be mailed to chairman.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO recitals. Students may leave after performing. Teachers may pick up their adjudication sheets, certificates, and trophies at the end of the day.

Tournament offers students an opportunity to perform for a judge and receive constructive comments. Required Federation pieces may be played in the Contemporary division. Please remember the Tournament is BRMTA's major fundraiser and encourage all your students to enter.
